Military Connected OLR Pleat Update*
The Military Connected OLR Pleat has been updated to correct a previously identified issue. Please download the latest version and import it following the instructions provided in the NCSIS Knowledge Base article listed below.
Online Registration | NC Department of Public Instruction
|
OLR Application Processing*
Updates that will come with the Infinite Campus release .2551, scheduled for December 2025, include important updates to Online Registration (OLR). The Staff Processing Tool will be discontinued, and the new Application Processing Tool will be the only tool available to process student applications. Please plan for staff training to ensure a smooth transition and understanding of the new process.

 |
State-Defined Values and Primary Teacher Verification*
All courses and/or sections must have State Defined Values (formerly Course Attributes) assigned as appropriate. Use the (NC) Section & Course Attribute Verification validation report to validate this data. The report includes three groups of values:
- Section-level fields
- Course (calendar-level) fields
- Course master fields
Section-level values will be inherited from the course information at the calendar level. If values exist on the course, the section values only need to be completed if they differ from the course.
Additionally, ensure each section has a Primary Teacher assigned in Section Staff History. This information is used by multiple downstream systems and reports. The (NC) Section & Course Attribute Verification validation report also lists the primary teacher for each section; if a section shows no value, a primary teacher must be assigned.
 |
|
Historical Endorsements*
Endorsement data for all historical graduates have been converted to Infinite Campus. Endorsements will now display on a transcript run for those students.
|
Retired UID Replacement*
Historical students that were incorrectly converted with retired UIDs in Infinite Campus were corrected in production last week. If a PSU needs a list of students whose UID changed through this process, please see the (NC) UID Errors Validation Report. The rule “(NC) Retired UID - Replacement List” will display all students affected, their previous UID and their new UID.
Legislative Class Size (LCS) Report*
The Legislative Class Size (LCS) Report submission window is currently open. Please refer to the following articles for information about requirements for this report:
NC Legislative Class Size Collection | Infinite Campus
Legislative Class Size (LCS) | NC Department of Public Instruction
Graduation Requirements Program Automatically Added*
On Friday, November 7, a Graduation Requirements Program was added for all current and former students who:
- Have a value entered in the Date First Entered the 9th Grade field on the Graduation tab,
- Are currently missing a graduation program or have a district created graduation program assigned,
and
- Were not identified as students on the Extended Content Standards according to their IEP.
Students identified as Occupational Course of Study (OCS) according to their IEP will receive the appropriate FRCO program, while all other eligible students will receive the appropriate FRC program. Students on the Extended Content Standards will not have a graduation program assigned to them.
Programs will continue to be assigned in mass periodically throughout the year, and this process will be automated in the future.
Please review your students’ Graduation data and make any necessary updates.
|
 |
|
AIG Headcount*
The window for the AIG Headcount will be opening soon!
- The AIG Headcount is verified through a Data Validation Report within Infinite Campus.
- Each LEA and participating charter school will need to run the AIG Headcount—Student Level Detail Report and validate the information.
- Ensure that all students who are receiving services on or before November 15, 2025, are included on the report and the student’s identification area is correct.
- NCDPI will take a snapshot of the information in the data validation report for state reporting on November 30th.
For questions, reach out to Stephanie Cyrus (stephanie.cyrus@dpi.nc.gov) and for additional resources (webinar recording, quick guide instructions, and knowledge base article), please visit the Infinite Campus folder in the OALGE Coordinators’ Corner.

Important Notes for Charter Schools Using Third-Party Lottery Vendors
As charter schools prepare for the upcoming school year and utilize third-party vendors for their lottery and registration processes, please keep the following in mind:
- If your vendor collects student registration data, do not import household or census data directly into Infinite Campus. This can lead to data integrity issues. Importing data into Infinite Campus should only be done with direct assistance from Infinite Campus support or an Infinite Campus channel partner.
- Due to North Carolina’s Student UID system, students cannot be imported into Infinite Campus using external files.
- Instead, each student who has accepted a seat must be enrolled using the Student Locator Wizard within Infinite Campus to ensure proper identity matching and compliance.
Please feel free to reach out to your NCSIS Professional Learning Consultant with any questions.

RTA—Mid-Year Promotions and IRPs
Mid-Year Promotions
|
If a student demonstrates at or above grade level performance by November 1, the student's RtA Program should be ended using the steps listed below. Please enter this data by November 14, 2025.
Navigation: Menu > Student Information > State Programs > Read to Achieve
Select a Student: If a student is not selected, click Open Student Search tool to search by the student's name. Search for students using advanced searches or Ad Hoc Filters as needed. Select the student's name to open the Read to Achieve Program tool. If a student was already selected, the Read to Achieve Program tool will open automatically.
- Click View on the Read to Achieve program to open the program information.
- Enter the End Date in MM/DD/YYYY format or click the calendar icon to select the date. This should be the date that the student attained proficiency. In this situation, the date should be on or before November 1.
- Select "MYP: Mid-Year Promotion - RtA (by Nov 1)" under the Program Exit Status.
- Select one (1) Mid-Year Promotion (MYP) category (MYP 1-5) under Exit Status Reason.
- For charter, lab, and restart schools, if MYP4: Alternate Assessment - 725L (Charter, Lab, Restart) is selected, choose the assessment that the student used to demonstrate grade level performance from the drop down list under “Alternate Assessment (Charters, Labs, Restarts)” under the State Defined Elements section.
- Enter comments (optional).
- Click Save to end the program.
Important Note: The third grade RtA Program record will not indicate that a student is considered Reading Retained. The third grade program should be ended and a new RtA Program entered to record the "RRET: Reading Retained" label. This program should be created for the student's 4th grade year using a start date of July 1 or later for the new school year. Please see the article linked below for details.
|
Recording IRPs
Grade K-3 students with an IRP should be identified and entered into Infinite Campus using the guidance from the article linked below. (Click RtA Program Entry - Individual Reading Plan (IRP) and follow the steps listed.) This is to record the creation and focus of an IRP for state reporting purposes, but it is NOT where the content of the student’s IRP is recorded.
For more information about RtA data entry in Infinite Campus, see the Read to Achieve Program Data Entry article below. For questions, please contact Thomas.Merritt@dpi.nc.gov.
