Tuesday, March 11th - George Moses Horton Middle School Chorus, Chatham CountyNCDPI Lobby, 11:30 a.m. - NoonGeorge Moses Horton Middle School Chorus is a developing group of middle school musicians that are very expressive and lively. They are a diverse group of students from many backgrounds that are just beginning their musical journey with a newly developed choral program. These students are a joy and work hard to have a great blend and share their love of music.T
hursday, March 13th - Martin Gifted & Talented Magnet Middle School Chorus, Wake CountyNCDPI Lobby, 11:30 a.m. - NoonMartin's Honors Chorus consistently receives Superior ratings at State Adjudications and Festivals, performed with the NC Symphony in 2023, and were finalists in WRAL's Mix101.5 Christmas Choir competition. Martin was honored to perform for Governor Cooper and other state representatives as part of NCMEA's 2023 Music in Our School's Month performance at the State Capitol Rotunda. Last year, Martin's Honors Chorus had 23 students place in the NC MS Honors Chorus, recognized as the middle school with the highest number or students seated in the state, an honor held by the program since 2018. They look forward to continuing a strong music program at Martin in the coming years.

Tuesday, March 18th - James B. Hunt High School Dance IV Honors Dance Ensemble, Wilson County150 N & S, 11:30 a.m. - NoonThe Dance Ensemble is the most advanced dance group offered in the Hunt High School program. Students must be invited to participate in Dance IV Honors Ensemble. Invitations are extended based on work ethic, artistic integrity, as well as caring and creative problem solving.
Thursday, March 20th - Ardrey Kell High School Jazz Ensemble, Charlotte-Mecklenburg SchoolsNCDPI Lobby, 11:30 a.m. - NoonThe Ardrey Kell Mighty Knight Band is a comprehensive 9-12 band program located in Charlotte. Serving 200 students, the program offers 4 concert bands, a nationally recognized and competitive marching band program, jazz band, winter guards, indoor winds, chamber winds, and numerous specialty music courses. The Ardrey Kell Jazz Ensemble supports many area of music education and music diversity playing a wide array of artists, genres, and music ethnic backgrounds.

Tuesday, March 25th - Jesse C. Carson High School Honors Chorus, Rowan-Salisbury SchoolsNCDPI Lobby, 11:30 a.m. - NoonChoral students have performed with the world-renowned rock group FORIEGNER, at Disney Sings, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, The Southern Christmas Show, for The Charlotte Hornets and at Radio City Music Hall’s Rockettes Christmas Spectacular. These groups have received Superior Ratings at the Carowinds Festival of Music Competition since 2011 and have been participating in the Mars Hill Choral Festival since 2015.
Thursday, March 27th - Davie County High School Dance Company150 N & S, 11:30 a.m. - NoonThis elite group is composed of dancers with a range of experiences, from those who have honed their skills solely through public school dance training to those with years of advanced training outside of school. One of the defining characteristics of Dance Company is its ability to celebrate and blend these diverse backgrounds. Each dancer brings their unique creative perspective and technical expertise, resulting in a collaborative environment where ideas flourish. Together, they craft innovative and inspiring pieces that showcase their artistry and dedication to the art of dance.Dance Company not only provides students with opportunities to refine their technical and performance abilities but also encourages them to explore choreography, improvisation, and creative problem-solving. The group strives for excellence in every performance and fosters a deep sense of camaraderie and passion for dance among its members.
