WHAT'S NEW!
Graduation Requirements Update*
Phase I
A district reported and NCDPI verified that course BM205X0 - Microsoft Excel Excel Honors was not meeting as a 4th Math in the 2021 NC Graduation Requirements. Infinite Campus updated the fix to production on Wed., Feb. 26, 2025 in both the 2021 NC Graduation Requirements and the 2020 NC Graduation Requirements Math Path 1A, and Math Path Sub of Policy II-I, II-J, II-K, II-L, II-M, II-N, II-O, II-P.
To view Graduation Requirements and pathways navigate to Student Information > Program Administration > Graduation Program Setup > expand a Graduation Requirements Program > click on Compound requirements > scroll down and click into a requirement > click on a Path and scroll down to view course codes that meet that path requirement.
Currently active Graduation Requirements are:
- 2021 NC Graduation Requirements (State Defined)
- 2020 NC Graduation Requirements (State Defined)
- 2021 OCS Graduation Requirements (State Defined)
- DO NOT USE: North Carolina Graduation Program (State Defined) - if you have students assigned to this please move them to another program as this program will be removed from production.
Knowledgebase Resource on assign graduation requirements to students:
Note: NCDPI is currently testing OCS Graduation Requirements programs for 2020, 2017 and 2012. For any mid-year grads that would be under one of these three OCS Grad Requirements, they can be graduated without assigning a Graduation Requirements program. They should not be assigned an incorrect Graduation Program. Please watch for communication on when these programs will be in production.

Resident District Selection Clarification*
Phase I
PSUs should not select a charter school when completing the Resident District field. Only LEAs should be selected.
This information is located on the Enrollment screen under the State Reporting Fields section.

|
 |
Newly Added - CPR Completion Reports*
Phase I
We now have two CPR Completion Reports available: CPR Completion Report – Passed and CPR Completion Report – Not Passed. These reports include only active students within the school and display the following details:
-
Student Name (sorted by Grade Level, then alphabetically by last name)
- Student Number
- Grade Level
-
School Name (Enrolled School if run at the PSU level)
-
Testing School (pulled from the CPR assessment screen)
- Date Taken
The Not Passed report includes students who:
- Have not yet taken the CPR assessment
- Have a recorded CPR assessment score of "Fail" without a second recorded score of "Passed"
To run these reports, navigate to:Reporting > Data Validation > Data Validation Group > State Owned > Select the Report

Targeted Assistance Schools*
Phase I
Targeted Assistance Schools (TAS)
Title I funds are used to support programs for eligible students who are failing or at risk of failing to meet state academic standards.
The following are key dates and resources related to the TAS submission process for both IC (Infinite Campus) and PS (PowerSchool):
Dates to Know:
- March 3, 2025: IC and PS will go live for PSUs (Public School Units) to submit TAS data.
- June 23, 2025: TAS data submissions due from PSUs with TAS data.
- June 30, 2025: FY25 TAS data will be finalized.
Requirement:
Schools that are either SW-TAS or TAS-TAS are required to submit TAS data in PowerSchool or flag in Infinite Campus
- SW-TAS – The first “SW” indicates that the school is eligible to operate a schoolwide program (SW), the second “TAS” confirms that the school implemented a “TAS” program.
- TAS-TAS – The first “TAS” indicates that the school is eligible to operate a TAS program, the second “TAS” confirms the school implemented TAS program.

Conversion: Student to Staff Merges*
Phase I & II
UID Reconciliation: Student to Staff Report
The UID Reconciliation: Student to Staff report helps identify former students who are now staff members within the same PSU. This report is important for both Phase I and Phase II schools:
- Phase II schools: Ensures each person has only one record during the conversion process.
- Phase I schools: Helps request the merging of duplicate records in Infinite Campus to prevent syncing issues with the State Edition.
Both active and non-active staff members are included. Although focus should be on completing active staff members, marking all records to merge or not merge will help with data integrity/accuracy in the future.
For detailed instructions, please refer to the NCSIS article linked below.
https://ncdepartmentofpublicinstruction.knowledgeowl.com/home/conversion-student-to-staff-merges
Update: The report has now been updated to order the staff members by the school they are attached to.
If you encounter any further issues, please reach out to your SIS PL consultant for assistance.

Phase II Data Conversion Information*
Phase II
Hot tip: Scheduling Setup should be completed for all students. The “Next Grade” and “Next School” fields determine the enrollment for the 25-26 year in your production site. Check weekly to verify that any new enrollments have these fields completed.
Infinite Campus will convert data for Phase II PSUs directly from PowerSchool. The data files on eMFTS are provided for your information and to allow for easier auditing of data, but any changes to these files will not change the data that is converted into Infinite Campus. The data that is converted comes straight from PowerSchool.
Use the Conversion Guide to help you audit and validate the data you have in PowerSchool using the data files. Make any changes necessary in PowerSchool.
Once your trial site is available, your implementation team will provide you with a Data Validation Workbook. It will have instructions about how to validate the data that has been converted. Any data issues found should be fixed in PowerSchool so that the production site contains the correct data.
Use the PowerSchool->Infinite Campus Data Validation Workbook to find ideas on how to easier find the data in PowerSchool to validate and where to change the data in PowerSchool to fix issues (if applicable).

REMINDERS:
2025-2026 New State Course Codes
Phase I
The 2025-2026 State Course Code Master list version 4a has been updated and new 25-26 courses are now in NCSIS-IC. The updated 25-26 course list spreadsheet can be viewed here.
Depending on Tool Rights, 25-26 SY new course masters can be viewed by navigating to
-
Course Code Setup: Grading & Standards > Grading & Standards Administration > Course Code Setup > use the Code or Name search boxes
- 25-26 Course Codes will show a Start Year of 2025
-
Course Catalogs: Grading & Standards > Grading & Standards Administration > Course Catalogs > expand NC Course Catalog: use CTRL+F or CMD+F to search for the course number or title.
-
Course Master Information: Grading & Standards > Course Masters > Course Master Information > search for new course master.
- PSUs will need to configure the grading on the new course masters. This can be accomplished by copying the grading setup from a "like" course master that is already configured.
Note: PSUs that have already rolled over courses to the 25-26 school year will need to add the new 25-26 course masters to each school that will use them.
Important NCID Update: New Password Requirements
Phase I & II
Please see the notice below regarding NCID (NCID Portal).
Starting February 23, any user changing their NCID password will be required to create a password at least 14 characters long. Existing passwords will continue to work until changed.
Be sure to update accordingly to meet the new requirements!

AIG Fall Headcount Report
Phase I
Please see the message from the Office of Advanced Learning and Gifted Education below:
AIG Fall Headcount Report Communication to IC users
Dear Phase I Infinite Campus Colleagues,
Thank you for your continued patience as we have worked to develop the Fall AIG Headcount Report within Infinite Campus. In the next week, the Infinite Campus team will push the Official Fall AIG Headcount report into production. During this year’s data collection process, LEAs will be required to generate and review the AIG Fall Headcount report to prepare for the NCDPI data pull, which will happen at the close of business on Monday, March 10, 2025.
For this year, LEAs will go through the process of generating the Fall AIG Headcount report and making any student level corrections to verify the accuracy of the data. In future years, the AIG Headcount report submission window will also include a process for ‘approving’ all data as has happened in the past.
To support district personnel with generating and reviewing the report, as well as correcting any data, the following resources will be available:
- Quick guide instructions (access here)
- NCDPI office hour opportunities via MS Teams as outlined below (just click the link to join):
- LIVE presentation: Thursday, February 27, 2025 1:00 - 2:00 (Join the meeting now)
- Drop in question and answer sessions:
LEAs are expected to run and review the report both at the school and LEA levels for all schools. AIG headcount data will only be collected from those charter schools with an official Local AIG plan on file with NCDPI/SBE. Please contact Stephanie Cyrus at stephanie.cyrus@dpi.nc.gov with the Office of Advanced Learning and Gifted Education with questions.

SIS EOY Timeline SY 24-25
Phase I & II
NCDPI wants to ensure that Phase I and Phase II PSUs understand the timeline for completing the End of Year (EOY) process.
Phase I
There will be no downtime for Phase I PSUs transitioning from the current year to the future year in Infinite Campus (IC). However, NCDPI will transition all Phase I PSUs from the 24-25 school year to the 25-26 year in Infinite Campus on 6/30/2025. This should not be done before June 30th.
Phase II
Phase II PSUs transitioning from PowerSchool (PS) to Infinite Campus will go from IC trial sites to production sites and discontinue using PowerSchool on June 26th.
Phase II PSUs must still do all pre-EOY processes and have EOY validations cleared on or before June 26th, 2025. PowerSchool will be taken offline for EOY processing on June 26, 2025. PSUs will no longer have access to their PowerSchool instances after June 26, 2025.
Please select the link below for a detailed timeline from February 1 to July 15th:
Your support and collaboration are greatly appreciated as we prepare for this unique EOY. If you have any questions or need assistance during the process, please don’t hesitate to contact your Professional Learning Team Consultant.

Home Language Survey
Phase I & II
The NC State Board of Education (SBE) has updated each student's Home Language Survey requirements for each student. NC SBE policy Test 0-11 now requires that all PSUs use a Standardized Home Language Survey. In an effort to support this change, we will be hosting a series of face-to-face professional development opportunities in February and March and some virtual options as well in March. This professional development is designed to help all staff with the knowledge and tools to administer the standardized Home Language Survey effectively for all students. This is training for School Data Managers, Enrollment stakeholders, EL Data Managers, SIS Coordinators, ML Coordinators, and of course, any administrators who want to join. Please share this information with your Data Managers. We are going on tour in every state board region in February and March.
More information is available in this flyer and registration link.

Phase II Action Items
Phase II
- Please make sure that your main bell schedule(s) are set to YES for the PMR Calculation of minutes for BOTH the 24-25 and the 25-26 school years.
- Please make sure that your final grade setup/reporting terms are set up for BOTH the 24-25 and the 25-26 school year. You will need to do this even if you do not typically enter grades into PowerSchool. This allows your term file to be generated. If you need help with this, please reach out to your PL Consultant.
- Remember that you will need to have your schedules completed in the 25-26 school year prior to your production data deadline. You can achieve this by committing your master schedule from PowerScheduler into the 25-26 year in PowerSchool, copying your schedule from the 24-25 year to the 25-26 year, or scheduling directly into the 25-26 school year.

2024-2025 Home Base Maintenance Periods
Phase I & II
Each year, a list of scheduled maintenance windows is published by NCDPI. This is published in advance to help teachers and administrators better prepare for temporary outages and loss of access. Please review the 2024-2025 maintenance schedule and put these dates on your calendar. In most cases, the entire window is not necessary and we can return systems to service earlier than listed. If emergency maintenance is required in addition to these scheduled dates, all users will be notified in advance.
