Mosaic Taiwan 2025
Mosaic Taiwan is back and better than ever! It's a fellowship exchange program designed for promising young leaders like you who are eager to explore Taiwan's vibrant culture and gain valuable insights into its society and politics.
During the 12-day program from June 16-27, 2025, you will attend workshops, forums, lectures, and other activities, giving you a complete overview of Taiwan!
- Applications will be accepted from February 10 to March 12, 2025.
- TECO-Atlanta accepts applications for all "YoungLeaders" from Georgia, Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee, and North & South Carolina ONLY.

World View Global Education Leaders Program
June 18-20, 2025
The Rizzo Center, Chapel Hill, NC
Today’s globally connected world requires that we prepare students to become globally competent citizens who are able to work collaboratively across cultures. UNC World View’s Global Education Leaders Program brings together current and aspiring leaders from K-12 schools, districts and community colleges. Together we will examine global issues that impact students and their communities. Participants are led by expert university faculty as they engage in dialogue about key global topics and explore leadership strategies to support global education initiatives in classrooms and schools.

Save the Date: Summer 2025 NCDPI Conference
NCDPI's Office of Academic Standards is combining two conferences into one event during the Summer of 2025 that will be offered in two locations, as noted below. Please read the details about each conference, and know that the goal is for participants to be able to sign up for sessions from both.
- June 24-26 in Western NC
- July 22-24 in Eastern NC
- June 27 and July 25 are Virtual Days for MLs
Standards Academy
The annual Standards Academy will feature Social Studies, Math, English Language Arts (ELA), English Language Development (ELD), World Language, Science, Arts Education, Healthy Schools, and Student Success Standards sessions focused on the implementation of the NC Standard Course of Study (SCoS).
Details about how students can earn the GLE will be included in several of these sessions, and they are summarized in the GLE Policy Requirement infographic at go.ncdpi.gov/NCSoBLGLEinfographic.

2025 National Endowment for the Humanities K-12 Educators Summer Institute
The University of New Mexico Art Department, Latin American & Iberian Institute, and ECHO for Education are seeking K-12 grade educators to participate in the virtual and in-person 2025 Summer National Endowment for the Humanities Institute.
Participants can receive a stipend of $2,200 to attend the virtual and in-person workshop dates.
Application deadline is March 5, 2025.

New & Improved! - The Global Educator Digital Badge (GEDB) process is here!
The new NCDPI Global Educator Digital Badge (GEDB) process gives NC educators a streamlined path to recognition for global education work. The updated GEDB process simplifies earning the badge while aligning it with 6 Professional Teaching Standards.
The Global Educator Digital Badge (GEDB) provides an opportunity for educators to focus their teaching and professional learning on global context and understanding of how to integrate global education throughout curricula. It also provides the opportunity for educators to demonstrate how they build global competency in students.
The State Board of Education approved North Carolina Global Educator Digital Badge (GEDB) is available for the following educator categories:
- Teacher
- Teacher Leadership Specialist
- Library Media Coordinator
- Instructional Technology Facilitator
- School Counselor
- Career Development Coordinator
- School Social Worker, School Psychologist
- Speech-Language Pathologist

2024-2025 World History Webinar Series!
