WHAT'S NEW!
SIS EOY Timeline SY 24-25*
Phase I & II
NCDPI wants to ensure that Phase I and Phase II PSUs understand the timeline for completing the End of Year (EOY) process.
Phase I
There will be no downtime for Phase I PSUs transitioning from the current year to the future year in Infinite Campus (IC). However, NCDPI will transition all Phase I PSUs from the 24-25 school year to the 25-26 year in Infinite Campus on 6/30/2025. This should not be done before June 30th.
Phase II
Phase II PSUs transitioning from PowerSchool (PS) to Infinite Campus will go from IC trial sites to production sites and discontinue using PowerSchool on June 26th.
Phase II PSUs must still do all pre-EOY processes and have EOY validations cleared on or before June 26th, 2025. PowerSchool will be taken offline for EOY processing on June 26, 2025. PSUs will no longer have access to their PowerSchool instances after June 26, 2025.
Please select the link below for a detailed timeline from February 1 to July 15th:
Your support and collaboration are greatly appreciated as we prepare for this unique EOY. If you have any questions or need assistance during the process, please don’t hesitate to contact your Professional Learning Team Consultant.

Phase II Action Items*
Phase II
- Please make sure that your main bell schedule(s) are set to YES for the PMR Calculation of minutes for BOTH the 24-25 and the 25-26 school years.
- Please make sure that your final grade setup/reporting terms are set up for BOTH the 24-25 and the 25-26 school year. You will need to do this even if you do not typically enter grades into PowerSchool. This allows your term file to be generated. If you need help with this, please reach out to your PL Consultant.
- Remember that you will need to have your schedules completed in the 25-26 school year prior to your production data deadline. You can achieve this by committing your master schedule from PowerScheduler into the 25-26 year in PowerSchool, copying your schedule from the 24-25 year to the 25-26 year, or scheduling directly into the 25-26 school year.

Charter School Feedback Survey*

NCVPS Cross-Enrollment Update*
Phase I & II
Please be advised that NCVPS will not be participating in the cross-enrollment functionality of Infinite Campus. PSUs should plan to schedule NCVPS courses independently and not utilize the cross-enrollment feature.
|
Infinite Campus Training Module*
Phase II
Infinite Campus uses a Train-the-Trainer model for its training sessions, as outlined in the Infinite Campus NC Overview Training Experience presentation linked below. It is essential to invite staff members to the instructor- led workshops who not only need a deep understanding of the skills but who will also support their colleagues in effectively applying those skills within their school buildings.
Infinite Campus NC Overview Training Experience.pptx
In addition, PSUs are encouraged to develop a comprehensive training plan to ensure all staff members within their PSU receive the necessary training. A link to an example training plan is provided below to assist with this process.

Infinite Campus Release Update*
Phase I & II
Infinite Campus will update from release 2451.5 to 2451.11 the evening of Friday, January 31, 2025.
This deployment will fix the following issues and more:
State course codes and names that were not populating for cross-site enrollment courses.
Online Payments - Deposits
For further details regarding the above-listed fixes and additional fixes in this release please review the release notes: https://kb.infinitecampus.com/help/rx-pack-campus2451

Phase II Data Conversion Information*
Phase II
Infinite Campus will convert data for Phase II PSUs directly from PowerSchool. The data files on eMFTS are provided for your information and to allow for easier auditing of data, but any changes to these files will not change the data that is converted into Infinite Campus. The data that is converted comes straight from PowerSchool.
Use the Conversion Guide to help you audit and validate the data you have in PowerSchool using the data files. Make any changes necessary in PowerSchool.
Currently, not all files are ready to be audited and validated. Any updates will be listed on the Additions/Corrections page in the Conversion Guide.
Once your trial site is available, your implementation team will provide you with a Data Validation Workbook. It will have instructions about how to validate the data that has been converted. Any data issues found should be fixed in PowerSchool so that the production site contains the correct data.
Coming Soon! Videos that will cover the files and how to audit them.

REMINDERS:
Twice-Retained Report Now Available
Phase I
A twice-retained report is now available in NCSIS. The twice retained report will produce a list of students retained in grades KG, 1, 2, or 3 and then retained again in grade 3 or promoted to 4th grade with an RRET Program Entry Status valid after November 1 of the current year. For instructions, please review the updated article on Read to Achieve. The instructions for accessing the data validation are at the end of the article.
Home Language Survey
Phase I & II
The NC State Board of Education (SBE) has updated each student's Home Language Survey requirements for each student. NC SBE policy Test 0-11 now requires that all PSUs use a Standardized Home Language Survey. In an effort to support this change, we will be hosting a series of face-to-face professional development opportunities in February and March and some virtual options as well in March. This professional development is designed to help all staff with the knowledge and tools to administer the standardized Home Language Survey effectively for all students. This is training for School Data Managers, Enrollment stakeholders, EL Data Managers, SIS Coordinators, ML Coordinators, and of course, any administrators who want to join. Please share this information with your Data Managers. We are going on tour in every state board region in February and March.
More information is available in this flyer and registration link.

Adding Transcript Grades Update
Phase I
The new Transfer Course field is now available in each Transcript record, to mark manually entered transcript records as taken at a Non North Carolina Public School.
Records previously marked with the Technology checkbox:
- Any record previously marked with the technology checkbox will automatically have the Transfer Course checkbox marked. No further action is required for these records.
Historical Transfer Records:
- Historical Transfer Records (TR) from PowerSchool have been automatically loaded into Infinite Campus. No further action is required for these records. The School Name and School Number for these records do not need to be changed to the Non-North Carolina Public School information.
Manually Enter Out-of-State Transfer Records:
- For students transferring from out of state, you must manually enter previous transcript records into Infinite Campus and mark them as transfer records. This includes all out-of-state transfers that have been enrolled in Infinite Campus so far this school year. Detailed steps for this process are provided in the Transcripts | Infinite Campus article, along with the NCSIS Knowledge Base article linked below.
Additional Information
As of January 2025, check this box for each transfer grade entered.

2024-2025 Home Base Maintenance Periods
Phase I & II
Each year, a list of scheduled maintenance windows is published by NCDPI. This is published in advance to help teachers and administrators better prepare for temporary outages and loss of access. Please review the 2024-2025 maintenance schedule and put these dates on your calendar. In most cases, the entire window is not necessary and we can return systems to service earlier than listed. If emergency maintenance is required in addition to these scheduled dates, all users will be notified in advance.
