Summer 2025 NCDPI Conference
NCDPI's Office of Academic Standards is combining two conferences into one event during the Summer of 2025 that will be offered in two locations, as noted on the flyer below. Please read the details about each conference, and know that the goal is for participants to be able to sign up for sessions from both.
Standards Academy
The annual Standards Academy will feature English Language Arts (ELA), English Language Development (ELD), and World Language sessions focused on the implementation of the NC Standard Course of Study (SCoS) in each of these language content areas, as well as others. Details about how students can earn the GLE will be included in several of these sessions, and they are summarized in the GLE Policy Requirement infographic at go.ncdpi.gov/NCSoBLGLEinfographic .
Growing Success for MLs Conference
The NCDPI ML/Title III team invites all educators to submit proposals for the 2025 Growing Success for MLs Conference. Without question, the 2024 conference was a huge success because of our presenters! Sharing your "boots on the ground" expertise inspires fellow educators to create more effective learning environments for multilingual learners. We encourage you to submit your proposals offering practical strategies, innovative ideas, and proven methods for enhancing the educational experience of ML students, especially the ways they can build proficiency in both English and their home or heritage language to earn the GLE when they graduate.
Proposals can be submitted using the online form through March 1, 2025.
