Reminder: ESSER III funds Expire on 9/30/24

In order to expend remaining funds, PSUs must encumber funds by 9/30/24. This includes PRCs 188 and 189. If you have any questions regarding this deadline, please contact the Office of Federal Programs. For general inquiries, please direct questions to Melissa.Eddy@dpi.nc.gov or Timothy.Dryman@dpi.nc.gov.

OLR PRC Transitions

ESSER funding for the OLR will end on September 30, 2024. Therefore, beginning on September 1st all questions regarding PRC's 188 and 189 should be directed to the Office of Federal Programs (OFP). The Consolidated Support Team will be able to approve any budgets and advise you on allowability of activities (Sandy.Carlaccini@dpi.nc.gov). As a reminder, these PRCs are ESSER funded; therefore, all PRC 188 and 189 funds must be encumbered by September 30th, 2024, and liquidated by December 30, 2024. Additional concerns or questions can be directed to the Section Chief-Consolidated Programs, Timothy Dryman at Timothy.Dryman@dpi.nc.gov

High Dosage Tutoring Launchpad

We are excited to share our High Dosage Tutoring Launchpad! This document is intended to be a homebase for designing your PSU’s High-Dosage Tutoring initiative. The information included comes from the National Student Support Accelerator, as well as North Carolina PSUs that have shown promising practices in the HDT space. Together, the resources will guide you in planning, implementing, and assessing your HDT program.

NC Collaboratory ARP Report to the NCGA

The NC Collaboratory submitted their ARP Report to the NC General Assembly last week. Included in the report is an overview of the work our office has done in collaboration with the NC Collaboratory, our colleagues at DPI, the UNC - Chapel Hill School of Ed, and researchers around the state to measure the impacts of the pandemic on NC schools, students, and teachers. Please check out the report to see some of the outstanding research going on around our state as part of the Learning Research Network!
