NCBOLD 2024
The School Connectivity team will be on the road this summer at NCBOLD 2024 on team Momentum! We will have several sessions covering E-Rate filing and digital literacy. Below are the school connectivity session titles and a link to register. Please share this with your E-Rate and instructional technology contacts!
E-Rate Bootcamp in a Day:
- Program Overview & Timeline: Dive into the essentials of the E-Rate program in this comprehensive overview session.
- Project Prep Category 2: This session focuses on the specifics of Category 2 funding, which covers internal connections, basic maintenance, and managed internal broadband services.
- Post Funding: Once you’ve secured E-Rate funding, what comes next?
- Portal Party: Get hands-on with the E-Rate Productivity Center (EPC) during our interactive Portal Party session.
Digital Literacy:
- Empowering Digital Citizenship: Navigating CIPA Compliance, Integrating Digital Literacy, and Unveiling New Resources

FCC Finalizes Cybersecurity Pilot Order
Last week, the FCC issued the final version of the Cybersecurity Pilot Report & Order (FCC 24-63). Much of the textual content of the final Order matched the initial draft Order circulated earlier in May. The School Connectivity team is working both internally and externally to develop recommendations for PSUs as more information becomes available from USAC.
