CSRB Basics
- CSRB meetings are streamed live every month on the DPI Youtube page.
- Meeting agendas are posted to Eboard approximately a week prior to each meeting.
- The next regularly scheduled CSRB meeting is September 9 and 10.
- CSRB member lists, previous minutes, and other information is housed on the OCS web page.

June 2024 Amendment Requests:
Mrs. Julie Whetzel, OCS Consultant, presented several amendment requests to the CSRB.
Paul R. Brown Leadership Academy- Enrollment Increase
Tillery Charter- Enrollment Increase
Movement Schools- Mission Statement
Movement West Charlotte- 2nd opening delay
Monroe Charter Academy- Relocation over 5-miles & Grade Level Increase
All were approved unanimously
June 2024 Remote Academy Amendment Requests:
Mrs. Julie Whetzel, OCS Consultant, introduced charter schools requesting an amendment to add a Remote Charter Academy. Each school was given an opportunity to present and answer questions from the CSRB.

All were approved unanimously
June 2024 Ready to Open Presentation & Voting
- Dr. Natasha Norins, OCS Consultant, presenting information related to schools seeking final approval from the CSRB to open in August 2024.
ALA Monroe
Riverside Leadership Academy
All were approved unanimously
Other Business:
- Ms. Ashley Baquero, OCS Director, presented revisions to the Performance Framework and Charter Agreement. The CSRB unanimously approved both documents.
- Dr. Jeni Corn, Director of Research and Evaluation, presented information on the Teacher Working Conditions Survey focused on charter schools across the state.
