Monthly Standards Update -- 23-24 SY 12th Issue

In March 2021, the North Carolina State Board of Education unanimously approved the 2020 ELD Standard Course of Study (SCOS) for implementation in the 2022-2023 school year.

In an effort to keep stakeholders informed during the Implementation phase, the NCDPI ML/Title III Team provides monthly standards updates that contain the latest announcements and current news regarding the ELD SCOS. This month's standards update will be the last as we will be in implementation but continue to visit the hub as we will be updating it with new resources throughout 24-25.

2024-2025 ELD Standards Full Implementation

This month's standards update will be the last as we will be in full implementation, continue to consult the ELD Standards Hub for existing resources and new supports as they are developed and released in the 24-25 school year.

The end of the 2023-2024 school year brings us to our first year of full ELD Standards Implementation.  Many resources were created as part of Installation and Initial Implementation.
