OCR/CRDC - SY2021-2022 NCDPI Uploads Complete
Happy New Year Coordinators!
Please inform other staff as appropriate.
Note: PSUs that were not open in the school year 2021-2022 are not required to participate in this collection.
NCDPI CRDC Upload Complete
The NCDPI upload process is complete. NCDPI recommends running the following reports in the Federal Submission Tool prior to making any changes in the system:
The files from these two reports will download as zipped packages. Running the reports before updates provides you copies of the data submitted by NCDPI in various formats that can be shared with designated staff working on the CRDC.
NCDPI recommends reviewing the data uploaded on behalf of the PSUs and making any necessary updates. PSUs must add data not accessible to NCDPI and resolve all errors in the Federal Submission Tool. PSUs are responsible for certifying the data in the Federal Submission Tool to complete the collection by February 24, 2024.
CRDC Data Not Accessible to the NCDPI
NCDPI published a document in early November 2023 in the CRDC Canvas course named ‘CRDC 2021-2022 Collection by Entity’. This Excel workbook contains LEA and School level tabs that list the CRDC question numbers for SY2021-2022. 'The 'SEA' column indicates the data that NCDPI can access and has collected. The 'LEA' column indicates the data that each PSU must collect at the local level. Please review the document and work with your program and office staff to collect and submit the data within the Federal Submission Tool.
NC CRDC Canvas – Recently Published Documents
The following documents were recently published in Canvas to help support PSUs in understanding how NCDPI compiled the data for the CRDC:
- NCDPI Guidance - LEA Form 2021-2022.pdf
- NCDPI Guidance - School Form 2021-2022.pdf

NC CRDC Webinars
This 1.5-hour session will provide an overview of the NC DPI process that facilitates the transfer of data to the federal submission tool for the CRDC. This session will also focus on resources at the federal level that support the collection, validation, and certification of the data in the federal submission tool.
This webinar will be hosted from 2pm – 3:30pm on the following dates:
- Wednesday, January 10, 2024
- Wednesday, January 17, 2024

NCDPI 2024-25 Master Course Code List Release for December 1, 2023
An updated master list of course codes has been posted with course offerings for the 2024-2025 school year.
A copy of the NCDPI Master Course Code List is posted at https://www.dpi.nc.gov/educators/home-base/powerschool-sis/nc-sis-resources#courses
In the spreadsheet, course codes with a “Course Code Release Year” of 2024-25 will reflect new course offerings. They are also listed in the tab “New Course Codes.” Note, there will also be a few course code names and credit value changes at the end of the year. These changes can be found in the Master List under the "Name Changes EOY", "Credit Value Changes EOY", and “Added Value Changes EOY” tabs. "CreditHour Changes EOY" is currently blank because there are no changes at this time.
The 2024-2025 course codes are now available in PowerSchool for PSU's to add to their local instances.

2023-24 Home Base Maintenance Periods
Each year, a list of scheduled maintenance windows are published by NCDPI. This is published in advance to help teachers and administrators better prepare for temporary outages and loss of access. Please review the 2023-2024 maintenance schedule and put these dates on your calendar. In most cases, the entire window is not necessary and we can return systems to service earlier than listed. If emergency maintenance is required in addition to these scheduled dates, all users will be notified in advance.
