Stakeholder Opportunity

The MIDAS Project is holding a Stakeholders’ meeting on January 25-26, 2024 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The MIDAS Project is looking for teachers to join us to contribute their perspective about professional development materials for educators on using multiple measures of academic achievement to inform instruction of students who formerly participated in the NCEXTEND1. Please use this link to read more about this opportunity. If interested, please check with your EC director and/or building principal for approval.

Grant Opportunities

The General Assembly approved competitive grants in the most recent budget and they are now open for interest. The grants will be run through the CCIP system. The applications and budget portions of the CCIP system are still being processed. NCDPI hopes to provide as much time as possible for PSUs to review the opportunities and begin planning and pulling together necessary information. As soon as applications are ready in CCIP, NCDPI will immediately share the information.

All PSUs are encouraged to read through the grant details. Please note the following about both grants:

  1. The grants are specific to the 2023-2024 school year and must be fully spent with all related purchases/services fully delivered by September 30th, 2024.
  2. Both grants are tied to remaining ESSER 3 funds, so there remains the need to connect to pandemic recovery.
  3. The grants are similar to ones from the previous budget, but each does have some changes. Please read the new budget details, guidelines and criteria closely. Let us know any questions you have about either grant opportunity.
