Thank You, NC Multilingual Learner (ML) Educators!
As part of the last Program Quality Highlights for 2022-2023, we want to say THANK YOU for all you have done and continue to do for ML students of North Carolina. There is so much to be celebrated this year, including initial implementation of the ELD Standards and serving over 140,000 ML students. To support you in this work, NCDPI has developed new resources to support the ELD Standards implementation, enhanced PowerSchool functions including the Home Language Survey (HLS), added a new ML Compliance Library, created an easier RCR Process, and returned to face-to-face for the Growing Success for MLs Summer Conference. We are so excited to partner with you to meet the needs of MLs!
Thank you for ALL you do on a daily basis to support ML students. They know they can count on you, that you believe in them and that your goal is not only to support them as they develop social and academic English skills, but to empower them to dream and to reach those dreams.
We appreciate each of you and are here to support you!
Sincerely,
The Multilingual Learner/Title III Team
