NCCAT Virtual Math Collaborative

July 25 - 26, 2023

 

Join NCCAT for this two-day virtual collaborative event to learn new math instructional strategies. An array of one hour sessions will be available that are focused on identified needs for math instruction. Come strengthen your math practices toolbox and leave ready to kick off the 2023-2024 school year with fresh ideas for your math classroom.  This virtual event is intended for teachers in grades K-12.

2023 Math Summit

FREE Professional Development Opportunity!

 

NC State's College of Education and the Triangle Math Alliance will host the annual Math Summit on Tuesday, August 8 in Talley Student Union on NC State's main campus (Raleigh, NC). This is a FREE professional development opportunity open to all K-12 math educators in North Carolina. The full conference will take place in person, and a limited half-day virtual option will also be available. 

 

Francisco Villegas, Senior Vice President of School Transformation at Partnership for Los Angeles Schools, will deliver the keynote address from 8:15 - 9:30 a.m. Following the keynote, there will be over 30 in-person sessions and 9 virtual sessions led by teachers and math leaders across the state.

 

Breakfast and lunch will be provided, and up to 6.25 hours of professional development are available!

2023 Growing Success for Multilingual Learners Summer Conference

 

Building Relationships for Multilingual Learner Success | June 20- 22, 2023

 

The NCDPI ML/Title III Team invites ALL educators of Multilingual Learners (MLs) to participate in the Growing Success for MLs Summer Conference. This year's conference will be held at McDeeds Elementary School in Southern Pines, NC.

During this summer’s conference, educators will have the following

professional learning opportunities:

  • Best Practices; 
  • Common Space: Collaboration and Co-Teaching for MLs; 
  • Engaging Schools, Families, & Communities for ML Success; 
  • Glimpse of GLAD; 
  • Making Content Comprehensible with SIOP; and 
  • Taking Flight for Academic Success: Integrating Content and Language Development.

Global Education Partnerships with France

North Carolina has international agreements or Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with public education systems in Spain, China, and, since 2020, France! One of the objectives of the MOU with the Académie de Reims in France is to establish partnerships between teachers in France and North Carolina so that they and their students can work on common projects virtually.

 

Application Open to All K-12 Teachers in Any Subject
