Who completes the ratings of “Fully,” “Partially,” or “Not Yet" on the LIS Form?

Since the LIS form serves as a self-reflection for PSUs, the ratings should be completed by the PSU.  View the FAQ.

reminder

Reminder: LEA Form Due December 15th

Per SB387, no later than December 15, 2022, and in a form prescribed by the State Board, each local school administrative unit shall submit to the State Board a concise explanation of its literacy curriculum and instruction, as aligned with the standards and model literacy implementation plan.

The form should reflect the current state of literacy instruction in your PSU. This will allow DPI to provide feedback, so PSUs can modify their curriculum and instruction for full implementation and alignment to the LIS in the 24-25 SY.

Recorded Webinar: From Policy to Practice

This pre-recorded webinar provides an opportunity to dive deeper into the LIS by using the Look-Fors Toolkit while analyzing artifacts typically observed at both the district and school level.

The intent of this webinar is for leaders to learn how to "look for" evidence of LIS alignment. This process may help guide discussion on how to create and modify future plans and inform instruction.
