Classroom Materials: Learning Inventory
The third LinguaFolio Biography component we're focusing on this year is the Learning Inventory, and it's available in 13 languages in both PDF and Word versions.
The Learning Inventory is a survey designed to help students reflect on what they've already accomplished in using the language they're learning, inside and outside the classroom. Learners rate themselves on how often (frequently, sometimes, seldom, never) they've read, seen, heard, written, and/or presented in the language. Here are a few examples:
- Read newspapers and magazines
- Watched video/films for information and/or entertainment
- Conversed with native speakers on the phone or in social networks
- Written short notes or emails to friends
- Reported about my experiences or adventures
- Other
