Online Safety and Cyberbullying with Learning.com
If you are interested in creating a plan to ensure students learn about online safety and cyberbullying, I have attached a useful guide to develop a plan for students completing curriculum on these two topics.
In the guide you will find a checklist of targets you can set for the students to complete the cyberbullying and online safety curriculum.
You can set a target for teachers, students, and schools to earn a Safe and Kind Online Hero badge.
Students can work through the auto assigned Tech Quest or teacher assigned curriculum.
In the attached curriculum maps you will see indicated:
- Items that teach online safety and cyberbullying marked with an asterisk*
- The estimated amount of time for a student to complete an item
How do I earn a Be Safe and Kind Online Hero badge?
- Send the targets you set to me, Tiffany Kinney, tkinney@learning.com, your State Program Manager, to indicate your interest to participate.
- Once you reach your goals notify your State Program Manager and you will receive your electronic badging kit which includes the following items:
· Digital badge (suitable for websites, email signatures, social media posts)
· Printable badge sheet for DIY stickers
· Student Certificates
· Class Certificates
I hope this framework supports you in rolling out an online safety and digital citizenship plan with all teachers and students.
