NCAPP AP Best Practices Series Fall 2022

Available via Zoom from September 12 - October 20

The North Carolina Advanced Placement Partnership (NCAPP) is excited to offer a FREE session series to North Carolina’s AP teachers! NC AP teachers can attend online sessions specific to their AP course to discuss strategies designed to strengthen AP instruction and improve student learning through AP tool integration and support, and NCAPP will pay all registration costs.

 

AP College Board

The AP Best Practices Series Fall 2022 includes sessions for AP courses in English, History and Social Sciences, Math and Computer Science, Sciences, and World Languages, as well as AP Capstone.

 

What to Expect from this AP Best Practice Series:

  • 90-minute Zoom sessions designed by NC AP teachers who want to collaborate and connect with other NC AP teachers
  • Register for one, two, or three -- whatever looks interesting to you
  • Registrants will receive an email confirmation with session information after completing the registration form. (Keep this email for your records.)
  • Registrants will receive an email prior to the session(s) with appropriate Zoom links.
  • Participants who complete the survey at the end of each session will receive a certificate of participation by November 30, 2022.

Note: Because of the interactive nature of the sessions, sessions WILL NOT be recorded.

NCDPI Sponsorships for Fall 2022 Events

Applications due by September 16

The Multilingual Learner/Title III Sponsorships application window is open through Friday, September 16, for sponsored activities being offered this fall. Explore the 2022-2023 ML/Title III Sponsorships Group 1 - Fall 2022 Events document to learn about the set of professional learning opportunities, which includes:

Any educator who is working with MLs is eligible to apply by September 16 for a sponsorship. In World Languages, that could be in a dual language/immersion (DL/I) program, heritage language courses, high school credit courses for a variety of languages, etc. A sponsorship covers all expenses including registration, travel (mileage or airfare), ground transportation, lodging, meals, and classroom coverage (if applicable), per State guidelines. 

 

Educators selected for a Fall 2022 sponsorship will be notified via email on September 23, 2022, and are required to attend one Q&A session before registering for the sponsored activity and submit a task upon participation in the event.
