Take some time to review the new Communications page of the LF4NC Canvas Hub. It has information about the LinguaFolio Leaflets, GoOpenNC discussions, and the #LF4NC tweets. The icon with this article is also on the bottom of the LF4NC Canvas landing page with a link that takes you to the sign-up for the NC LinguaFolio listserv and other NCDPI updates.

The #GoOpenNC group, LinguaFolio for North Carolina has eight topics available on the Discussions tab, which are part of the PD for 2022 - 2023. #GoOpenNC is available to all, and you can login with your NCEdCloud account and click "Reply" to add your thoughts, or, if you're not an NC Public School educator, you can post using the Jamboard for each discussion.

The Teacher Network #Together4MLs group has the February Slow Chat, a continuation of the recent Twitter chat that featured LinguaFolio for NC: Promoting portfolios, self-assessment, and reflection in language learning. They discussed four questions that are now on the Wakelet archive.

Professional Development

The Professional Learning Booklet for 2022 - 2023, available as a PDF or as a Google doc so you can make your own copy, includes Semester II, which is the Introduction to LinguaFolio self-paced Canvas course that is worth 10 contact hours or 1 CEU. This training focuses on how to implement LinguaFolio, a formative assessment tool for language learners, in all types of language learning programs and classrooms (DL/I, classical languages, ESL, heritage languages, modern languages, etc.).
