NE Digital Teaching and Learning Consultant, Amy Bennett

Amy Bennett joins NCDPI from Beaufort County Schools where she served as the Director of Instructional Technology.  She is defined by her passion of increasing student engagement and achievement by integrating technology in all subjects and grade levels.

Mrs. Bennett began her career in education as a PE teacher in Martin County.  Upon entering Beaufort County Schools, she joined the Accountability Department as a testing technician supporting principals in data analysis and test scheduling. Mrs. Bennett continued her career at the Alternative School in Beaufort County where she realized the positive impacts digital teaching and learning have on all students. Seeking to broaden her scope of influence, she served as the Instructional Design Specialist and most recently as the Director of Instructional Technology supporting teachers in building teacher efficacy around the integration of technology in their content.

My name is Reenada Perez and am very excited to be joining the DPI team as a Project and Course Code Manager. I have a passion for education and the impact educators have on the world.

That passion has driven me to take part in many roles in education at all levels of education. I understand firsthand how powerful a well-equipped and determined educator can be. My goal is to do my part to help educators be the best they can be, so that the students of North Carolina can grow to their fullest potential. NCVR Adventure

NCVR Adventures On The Road Appreciation!

We had a fantastic turn out for our NCVR Adventures On The Road workshops held across the state in February, March and April! Nearly 300 NC Educators attended one of our regional workshops to dig into VR tools for instructional engagement, immersion & impact! We are so grateful for the creative effort these educators demonstrated in the workshops and the variety of projects produced. Along with the educators we were fortunate to meet with and learn alongside, the Innovative Learning Catalysts would also like to extend our gratitude to the regional hosts for providing space, support, and WiFi to make it possible!
