Monthly ELD Standards Update -- 9th Issue

In March 2021, the North Carolina State Board of Education unanimously approved the 2020 ELD Standard Course of Study (SCOS) for implementation in the 2022-2023 school year. This approval marked the start of the Installation Phase where the NCDPI ESL/Title III Team prepares for initial implementation of the ELD SCOS through planning PSU professional development, support, and resource development.
In an effort to keep stakeholders informed during the Installation Phase, the NCDPI ESL/Title III Team provides monthly standardsupdates that contain the latest announcements and current news regarding the ELD SCOS. These updates are sent every first Tuesday of the month.

NC ELD Standards Resource Hub
The NCDPI ESL/Title III Team has created the NC ELD Standards Resource Hub. This repository will house all the resources for supporting school administrators, all teachers of English learners, and EL families/caregivers during the implementation of the adopted Standard Course of Study. The range of resources offers users an opportunity to determine their own specific needs and find materials that suit them.
