Applications - 2021 Cycle
November Applicant Interviews
CSAB heard the final second round accelerated applicant interviews this month. These applicants hope to receive approval to open on an accelerated timeline, Fall 2022. Elaine Riddick Charter School was denied final recommendation to SBE and Phoenix Preparatory Academy was approved for recommendation to SBE. The approval of Phoenix included a name change to The Greenville Preparatory Academy. Final accelerated recommendations will go to SBE in December 2021.
Standard timeline (opening Fall 2023) applicant interviews began this month. Three applications associated with a new EMO, American Traditional Academies, were denied. Interviews will continue for several months until all 24 applicants receive a recommendation.
All submitted 2021 charter applications are available here.
