2021-2022 July HBMU Invite
The Home Base Team is excited to announce that its first round of Home Base Meet-Ups for the 2021-2022 school year will kick off Monday, July 26 and end Friday, July 30, 2021. These collaborative networking sessions promote idea sharing and best practices throughout the NC PSU community.
The first round of meet ups will be held virtually. Please view the HBMU schedule below for future dates and meeting formats.
The opportunity to earn .1 CEU will be offered to those who attend live training sessions. Recordings will be made available for those who are unable to attend live sessions; however, CEU credits will not be offered.
Please visit the official Home Base Meet-Up Invite and register for the sessions of your choice.
Home Base Maintenance Window
The next Home Base maintenance window is scheduled for today, July 16 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Currently, PowerSchool is the only known Home Base application that will undergo maintenance. All other Home Base applications will remain available.
Please notify your staff and teachers of this maintenance.
Note: Each year, a list of scheduled maintenance windows are published by NCDPI. This is published in advance to help teachers and administrators better prepare for temporary outages and loss of access. Please review the 2021-2022 maintenance schedule and put these dates on your calendar. In most cases, the entire window is not necessary and we can return systems to service earlier than listed. If an emergency maintenance is required in addition to these scheduled dates, all users will be notified in advance.

Sync for Staff and Student ID is Complete
The staff and student ID sync tasks related to EOY are complete. Changes made in PowerSchool should be reflected in all third party systems.
NCEES District Administrators, please review NCEES My Staff rosters. If there are issues, check your source systems such as HR/Payroll, Staff UID and Licensure.
If your updates are not showing, please open a case with PowerSchool at https://help.powerschool.com.

Schoolnet EOY and 23.0 Update
The update to Schoolnet 23.0 was successfully implemented this past weekend, and Schoolnet EOY was also successfully completed as of Wednesday, July 14. 2021-2022 data has been loaded and verified, and Schoolnet is available now for schools already in session for the 2021-2022 school year!
The Student Workspaces feature remains disabled to prevent students from previewing their 2021-2022 schedules in schools that are not already in session. We will re-enable this feature in August.
If you notice any post-EOY or post-upgrade issues or otherwise require assistance with Schoolnet, please log a ServiceNow Ticket.

EDDIE Feed Returned to Service
The Educational Directory and Demographical Information Exchange (EDDIE) Feed was returned to service, Wednesday, July 14. All changes made in PowerSchool prior to EOY and after the EDDIE feed was disabled should have been updated in EDDIE. If not, these changes were overwritten by what is in EDDIE since it is the authoritative source.
If your information in PowerSchool is not updating with the EDDIE feed, please open a case with PowerSchool at https://help.powerschool.com.

OCR/CRDC - Office of Civil Rights Coordinator Contacts in EDDIE - Due Friday, September 24, 2021
Please read and inform other staff as appropriate.
Dear Coordinators,
The Office of Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC) window for the 2020-2021 school year data will begin in early 2022. Note: PSUs that were not open in the school year 2020-2021 are not required to participate in this collection.
- The first step in preparing for the collection is ensuring the NCDPI has the most recent staff contact information.
- PSUs must verify or update the EDDIE system with two Staff who have been identified as the 'Office of Civil Rights Coordinator'.
- Delete any records in EDDIE for OCR contacts that are no longer with your PSU.
- These staff personnel are the technical contacts for the CRDC and will be responsible for running the PowerSchool CRDC Preview Report, verifying data, correcting and adding data to the Federal CRDC tool, and certifying in the Federal CRDC tool when the collection is complete.
- PSUs are also strongly advised to verify or update the Student Information Coordinator contact as well. Updates must be completed by the close of business, Friday, September 24, 2021.
More information about the CRDC is located at https://crdc.grads360.org/#program. Notice on the homepage that there is a timeline of the CRDC phases.
It is important to keep in mind that the NCDPI assists all PSUs with the CRDC by facilitating the transfer of data to the federal submission tool. No action other than to update your contacts in EDDIE is required at this time.
For questions, please contact Terra Dominguez at terra.dominguez@dpi.nc.gov.

Student Transfer Cheat Sheet
The Student Transfer Cheat Sheet has been updated to include "Transfer Out - No Show" instructions. Please visit our NC SIS Resource page for all of our technical resources pertaining to the SIS application.

Reminder: Individual Student Reports in PowerSchool
Currently, select schools are piloting Individual Student Reports (IRS) functionality; however, the link is viewable to everyone. The ISR link is at the bottom of the left menu bar in the parent portal listed as State Test Reports. Only parents of students in the pilot schools will be able to see the ISR. All others will see a message stating no reports are available.
Upon successful piloting, populating ISRs into the PowerSchool Parent Portal will become available to all public school units in the 2021-2022 school year. We wanted to make you aware of this addition in the event there are questions from parents or others.
