AP Summer Institutes for World Languages

AP College Board

College Board's Advanced Placement (AP) Summer Institutes offer professional learning for new and experienced AP educators. Attendees engage in 30+ hours of training with ready-to-use strategies and pedagogical tools shared by an experienced educator within the AP community.

A list of AP Summer Institutes for World Languages is included on the K-20 Professional Development page on the FLANC website. This compilation for North Carolina teachers has mostly online offerings, with broadcast times in the Eastern US time zone, but also in-person institutes across the Southeast. AP Summer Institutes are available for all AP World Language courses (Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Latin, Spanish Language, Spanish Literature) through the first week of August, and registration deadlines are several weeks before that.

Additional information about North Carolina's AP initiatives, including how exam fees are funded for all NC public high school students, is posted on the AP page as part of NCDPI's Advanced Coursework.
