Modeling in Precalculus
June 15 - 17, 2021
The NCSSM Mathematics department has added a third FREE virtual workshop to its summer outreach initiatives!
Mathematical modeling can engage students as active learners, fostering curiosity and inviting them into the mathematics conversation. Join us as we explore the modeling process through rich precalculus modeling tasks. We will share classroom-ready materials and resources aligned with the NC Precalculus standards. This virtual workshop is open to all North Carolina mathematics teachers interested in incorporating mathematical modeling into their Precalculus courses and will be led by NCSSM math faculty (Kevin Ji) and faculty emerita (Maria Hernandez).
Registration is open through June 4. Limited space available.
