Middle of the Year (MOY) Webinars

The NCDPI LinguaFolio Team provides support related to implementing LinguaFolio, a proficiency-based, student-centered, formative assessment tool for language learning. In December, there will be two LinguaFolio Middle of the Year (MOY) webinars.

Both webinars will focus on middle of the year questions with using LinguaFolio, including how to motivate students to keep using LinguaFolio and how teachers and students can transition with LinguaFolio into the next semester or course. We will also feature two components of the LinguaFolio Biography, Intercultural Experiences Summary and Learning Inventory, as tools to demonstrate progress with when implementing LinguaFolio.

Please use the dates linked below, which are also posted on the Webinars page of the LinguaFolio Google Site, to register for one or both of the broadcasts:

Renewal Credits & Archived Materials Available

Individuals who actively participate in the live broadcast of a webinar from the NCDPI LinguaFolio Team can earn contact hour(s) towards a CEU for licensure renewal. The contact hour comes in the form of an email with an attached certificate approximately 2 weeks after the broadcast.

Note: Local Education Agencies (LEAs) or districts and charter schools, also called Public School Units (PSUs), must approve professional development offerings.

An archive of the materials from each webinar (presentation slides, handouts, hyperlinks, etc.) and a recording of the broadcast are posted approximately 1 week following the live broadcast so that these materials can be used and/or adapted for local professional development.
