  • Provide professional growth opportunities to teachers of NC and the Académie de Reims
  • Establish collaboration between teachers and encourage their teaming through projects

The new international arrangement with the Académie de Reims in France is part of DPI’s Global Education work that also includes agreements with other partners around the world, including Jiangsu Province in China and the Kingdom of Spain.  Read more about this partnership.

World Language Teachers: Apply for your students to participate in the 2020 Virtual Learning through Languages Symposium!

The Learning Through Languages High School Research Symposium is a unique way for North Carolina world language students to conduct research in their language of study. Eligible students include ARABIC, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian or Spanish students, including heritage speakers. Participating students are encouraged to be at Level III or higher. This year’s program is ALL VIRTUAL! In teams of 1-3, students will create a summative briefing on one of three optional topics, focusing on one world region (Social Justice, COVID-19 Impact, Sustainability & the Environment). This is a GREAT opportunity for your students to have extra language practice, develop research and digital literacy skills, and get feedback from university judges! AND since this is virtual, easier for students from further distances to participate. For the application and a lot more information, visit their website
