North Carolina Scholastic Media Association's (NCSMA) Virtual Fall Workshop Sessions
Sept. 29 from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM | Oct. 15 from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
NCSMA invites publication advisers, journalism teachers, high school students to virtual fall workshops featuring campus tours. High school students and teachers are invited to register for virtual fall workshop sessions in literary magazine, yearbook, news/online news, broadcast/podcasting, art/photo/design, editorial leadership and advising student media.
Register by Sept. 25 to attend the Sept. 29 event featuring Elon, N.C. A&T and Queens.
Register by Oct. 9 to attend the Oct. 15 event featuring ECU, NC Central and UNC-Chapel Hill.

North Carolina Career Development Association's (NCCDA) 55TH Annual Poetry and Art Contest: "My Future Career: Imagine the Possibilities!"
NCCDA is hosting the 55th Annual Poetry & Art Contest in celebration of National Career Development Month in November. This year's theme is: "My Future Career: Imagine the Possibilities!" Every adult and student enrolled in public, private, and parochial schools, and colleges are eligible. The annual NCDA Poetry and Art Contest provides an opportunity for NCCDA to promote career development and awareness in North Carolina. Visit their website for more information.
STATE CONTEST TIMELINE AND DEADLINES:
Sept. - Nov. 2020: Advertise and hold local, district, and/or county contests
Nov. - Dec. 2020: Announce school or local winners (1st-3rd place); (send to county or district wide contest by December 20, if applicable.)
