2020 Ready to Open Updates   The CSAB heard from three schools preparing to open in 2020: Elaine Riddick Charter School, Kaleidoscope Charter High School, and Wilmington School of the Arts. The schools updated the Board on facility preparedness and current enrollments. The schools have until July 6, 2020, to meet all minimum RTO requirements to open. The remaining six 2020 RTO schools have received a recommendation to continue forward with opening status.

NC ACCESS

The NC ACCESS Team presented the NC ACCESS Annual Review and Subgrant Recommendations. Thirty-five schools were recommended to receive subgrants. The recommendations will go to the State Board of Education for review and discussion at its July meeting.

The CSAB recommended approval of the Hawbridge School’s enrollment request and tabled discussion on the Telra Institute’s amendment requests until next month.
