Virtual Learning Webinars for K–12 Educators

 

Useful Virtual Tools for Problem Solving

 

In this session we will demonstrate ways Google Drawings can be used as a virtual learning tool to promote cooperative learning and problem solving. Participants will experience a problem-solving activity using Google Drawings and discuss how to create a similar experience for their students. We will also cover how to use Padlet as an interactive tool to promote student thinking. Participants will experience a couple of interactive Padlet activities and discuss how to create a similar experience for their students. 

Topics to be covered:

  • Best practices for equitable virtual instruction.
  • Using Google Drawing to promote cooperative learning with problem solving.
  • Using Padlet as an interactive tool to encourage student thinking.

NC Remote Learning Resources and Information website

#GoOpenNC Remote Learning Hub

On December 16, 2019, the #GoOpenNC platform for open educational resources (OER) launched statewide and is home to lesson plans, content resources, printables and other resources aligned to state standards. This easy to use platform serves as a space to search for, curate, and create OER, as well as connect and collaborate with other NC educators.

 

Remote Learning Resources hub has been created, which includes content area, grade level, and role-based groups where educators can share, ask questions, and support one another.
