NCDPI K-8 DIGITAL LITERACY INITIATIVE SURVEY
During the 2019-2020 school year, NCDPI has collaborated with Learning.com to provide a K-8 Digital Literacy Solution to support educators with the delivery of instruction as well as improve these critical digital literacy skills among students. For students in Tier 1 counties, NCDPI provided full funding of this service and all other North Carolina students were supported through convenience contract pricing.
As we move towards the end of this year and the available funding for Learning.com, it is important for NCDPI to measure the use and to identify the impact of this platform.
EXTENDED DEADLINE: All PSU Finance Officers, Charter Directors, Learning.com Coordinators, and Head Superintendents were emailed this survey and NCDPI is extending the deadline to complete. We ask that you work with your teams to complete this survey (bit.ly/LCOMSurvey2020) by Tuesday, Mar. 31, 2020. We anticipate this survey may take 8-10 minutes.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Cami.Narron@dpi.nc.gov. Thank you for your support.
Looking for Online PD for Credit?
NC Administrators and Staff may be researching NC Educator Effectiveness System PD for Staff to complete while working remote. NOTE: Not all staff have access to this online system.
The Educator Effectiveness Department created courses listed here: rt3nc.org. These online professional modules offered are only available in NCDPI’s Home Base/NCEES system. Access to online PD in the Home Base system is managed through an active employee ID Number, so only current employees of North Carolina Public School Districts or Charter Schools can access Home Base. There is no mechanism for others to access and use the educator resources housed in the Home Base system.
What follows are suggested PD Resource for CEU credits, not all are endorsed by NCDPI, DPI Open Access Modules are free, the rest may have a cost. Staff should follow local PSU guidelines and policies to obtain approval for taking PD outside that offered locally.
