21st CCLC Grant Training Information Online
Stakeholders interested in learning about the process to submit a proposal for the 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) grant program for 2020-21 still have until Feb. 10 to attend regional and technical assistance trainings offered throughout the state.
Training is also being offered for the North Carolina Comprehensive Continuous Improvement Plan (CCIP) system through the month of February. Grant applications must be submitted through the web-based application. Organizations that have not been trained on the CCIP system are required to attend the face-to-face sessions.

Holocaust Workshop for Spring 2020 Added for Wake County
A workshop for educators teaching about the Holocaust has been added for Wake County for spring 2020 offerings.
The one-day workshop, Contemporary Antisemitism and Responding to Hate in Our Communities, is scheduled for March 26. To register and view additional workshops available statewide, visit the Workshops page on the NC Council on the Holocaust website.

Purple Star Designation Application Available on the Web
The application for schools to apply for the Purple Star designation is now available on the NC Supports Military Children website. The Purple Star designation is awarded to schools that demonstrate military-friendly practices and a commitment to military students and families. Schools that earn the designation will receive a Purple Star recognition for display and a special icon on their NC School Report Card. Application deadline is 11:59 p.m. on Feb. 28.
