New NCDPI Website

The new NCDPI website went live on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2019, at 6 p.m. The new site replaces the NC Public Schools website (http://www.ncpublicschools.org/). Anyone accessing the previous website will be redirected to the new site’s URL: https://dpi.nc.gov/.

Please use the navigation instructions below for accessing K-12 Standards, Curriculum, and Instruction information:

  • K-12 Standards, Curriculum, and Instruction
    • The primary purpose of the K-12 Standards, Curriculum, and Instruction Division is to serve as the authoritative source for the review, revision, and support for the implementation of state content standards in the North Carolina Standard Course of Study. The Division additionally supports multiple legislative and grant-related programs, initiatives, and reporting requirements.
    • Visit the K-12 Standards, Curriculum, and Instruction Google Site to access information, materials, and resources across areas and programs.
    • Access NC Standard Course of Study Information or scroll down the main homepage and click on “K-12 Standards.” From this page, view the navigation bar on the right to access the following:
    • NC Standard Course of Study: For each content area, you may access the standards and all related support documents such as: Extended Content Standards; Crosswalks; Unpacking; and Glossary documents; as well as access the supplementary google site for each content area.
  • Programs and Initiatives
    • Several programs and initiatives are directly related to the work of the K-12 Standards, Curriculum, and Instruction Division as well as the State Board of Education's vision, mission, and goals. These programs and initiatives and supporting documents or links to additional materials may be accessed using the right navigation bar on this page.
  • Specialized Instructional Support
    • Specialized Instructional Support Personnel (SISP), also known as student support services, or pupil services, including prevention, intervention, transition and follow-up services for students and families. These programs and supports may be accessed using the right navigation bar on this page. Now that the webpage has officially launched, we will work diligently to make sure our support materials are updated with all the new links.  Please know that you may need to update your internal documents if they contain links to the previous ncpublicschools.org domain. Thank you for your support and patience as we work to complete this transition. If you have questions or need assistance in locating Standards, Curriculum, and Instruction information, please contact Amy Betsill at amy.betsill@dpi.nc.gov.
