NCDPI Office of Charter Schools (OCS) Updates
CHARTER SCHOOLS: DID YOU KNOW?
Did you know state graduation requirements include CPR? It’s
true! Pursuant to State Board policy GRAD-004, State Graduation Requirements,
the Future-Ready Core Course of Study includes a CPR requirement. As part of
the Health and Physical Education credit, the policy states “Students are
required to successfully complete CPR instruction to meet Healthful Living
Essential Standards as a requirement for high school graduation.” You can read
the entire State Graduation Requirements policy here.
