General Assembly Reconvening January 10

Legislators are set to return to Raleigh Wednesday for a brief session, though House Speaker Tim Moore said a delay is possible.  Regardless, legislative leaders have indicated that action could be taken on judicial redistricting, gubernatorial appointments, and other issues.  Both chambers remain scheduled to reconvene January 10.  Please review the most recent adjournment resolution for information on what lawmakers may consider during the January session.

2017 Report on Education Legislation Hard Copies to be Released   After each legislative session, the State Board of Education produces the Report on Education Legislation, a handy reference material containing information and analysis of the year’s education legislation.  In addition to providing copies of all 2017 education bills in one location, the Report also includes detailed analysis of legislation passed during the 2017 General Assembly session.   If you are interested in ordering a hard copy of the 2017 Report on Education Legislation, please email Robb Jansen for more information.  If you prefer to view or download the Report online, you can do so here free of charge.
