Interested in Presenting at #cces18?
The Conference Planning Committee
seeks proposals for the CCES 2018 Conference. Preference will be given to
proposals that address this year’s conference theme, “Fostering Innovation
Across Our State” as well as highlighting one or more of the four conference
goals, listed below:
- To
provide educators and leaders relevant, research-based strategies to
affect short- and long-term change in adult practices that foster
innovative practices for student success;
- To
provide support staff with professional learning and resources for the
daily operations and needs of school communities;
- To
support student and educator growth through the dissemination of
data-driven strategies and resources;
- To
recognize and encourage the collective contribution of communities of
education stakeholders in individual and community-wide growth.

Types of Sessions
The Connecting Communities of
Education Stakeholders Conference features three types of sessions:
Operational, Concurrent, and Poster.
Operational Sessions:
[45 minutes]
These sessions are intended to be
highly interactive and feature some type of "make-and-take" component
that participants can implement once they return to their work settings
(classroom, central office, etc). Operational sessions should be focused
introductions to innovative ideas, strategies, and practices.
Concurrent Sessions: [75
minutes]
These sessions are intended to engage
participants in ways that apply theory, research, and/or best practices which
are currently relevant to a broad spectrum of education stakeholders.
Poster Sessions: [75
minutes]
Poster sessions are research-focused
sessions highlighting current trends in educational theory or research that
will be of use to various educational stakeholders. Posters will be
displayed in 75-minute intervals, in which participants will be free to peruse
posters and discuss any details with presenters. Poster session
presenters are typically faculty or graduate students from institutes of higher
education.
