    Types of Sessions

The Connecting Communities of Education Stakeholders Conference features three types of sessions: Operational, Concurrent, and Poster.

    Operational Sessions: [45 minutes]

These sessions are intended to be highly interactive and feature some type of "make-and-take" component that participants can implement once they return to their work settings (classroom, central office, etc).  Operational sessions should be focused introductions to innovative ideas, strategies, and practices.

    Concurrent Sessions: [75 minutes]

These sessions are intended to engage participants in ways that apply theory, research, and/or best practices which are currently relevant to a broad spectrum of education stakeholders.

    Poster Sessions: [75 minutes]

Poster sessions are research-focused sessions highlighting current trends in educational theory or research that will be of use to various educational stakeholders.  Posters will be displayed in 75-minute intervals, in which participants will be free to peruse posters and discuss any details with presenters.  Poster session presenters are typically faculty or graduate students from institutes of higher education.
