Global Languages Endorsement (GLE) - NC's Seal of Biliteracy

GLE

How many Class of 2017 graduates do you know who have earned a GLE?

The Global Languages Endorsement (GLE) is one of five High School Diploma Endorsements that North Carolina's graduates can earn, and it is our state's Seal of Biliteracy.

The purpose of the GLE is to provide a way for students to show their multiliteracy in English and at least one World Language, though students may add as many World Languages for which they qualify to a GLE.

For more information, please see the Global Languages Endorsement page on the Global Education wiki, which has a downloadable brochure about the GLE.

If you need to validate GLEs for students in PowerSchool so that the endorsement displays on transcripts for your Class of 2017 graduates, the instructions on how to do that are posted on the Global Languages Endorsement page.
