The NC Education & Innovation Tour
Coming to Johnston County and Davidson County

Mark Johnson to Visit Friday and Monday on Listening Tour


Mark Johnson, the NC Superintendent of Public Instruction, will visit Johnston County Schools on Friday and Davidson County Schools on Monday as part of his NC Education & Innovation Tour. Johnson has pledged to conduct a listening tour to hear directly from educators, parents, and community leaders across North Carolina.

 

“Johnston County Public Schools is a growing, dynamic district that honors its rural heritage and its growing new communities. I look forward to seeing how Johnston is embracing change and innovation to meet students’ learning needs,” said Johnson. “Davidson County has embraced innovation and an entrepreneurial spirit to create the Yadkin Valley Regional Career Academy. I look forward to seeing the hard work of these districts in action.”

 

In Johnston County, Johnson will tour Corinth-Holders Elementary School and McGee’s Crossroads Elementary School and interact with teachers and students.

In Davidson County, Johnson will tour Yadkin Valley Regional Career Academy to visit classrooms and interact with teachers and students. Johnson will have lunch with Yadkin Valley Academy teachers.
