IHE Educator Preparation Performance Reports for 2014-15 on the Web

The 2014-15 Performance Reports for Institutions of High Education (IHE) are now available on the IHE Educator Preparation Programs website. The reports examine teacher education programs at designated public and private institutions across the state. Visitors can view and download reports for undergraduate, graduate and school administration programs.


2016 NC Head Start Special Projects Internship Program Accepting Applications

The Head Start Special Projects Internship Program is accepting applications for 2016. Any current employee of a North Carolina Head Start or Early Head Start program is eligible to apply. Through the internships, promising leaders temporarily relocate to Raleigh in the summer and contribute their special skills and expertise to initiatives that address the federal priorities of the NC Head Start-State Collaboration Office (NC HSSCO). The submission deadline is Dec. 19. Visit the Office of Early Learning website to learn more and download the application packet.


CCSA Exhibitor Information Now Online

Exhibitor information for the Collaborative Conference for Student Achievement (CCSA) is now available on the CCSA conference website. Scheduled for March 21-23 at the Koury Convention Center in Greensboro, the CCSA attracts more than 2000 educators, administrators, school counselors, programs directors, school board members and more. Those with questions about the CCSA may email conference organizers at ccsa@dpi.nc.gov.

Freedom High School Senior Discusses NCVPS in First Student Blog Feature

Check out our newest addition to the NCDPI website – the Student Voices blog. This is a space where North Carolina students can reflect on areas of public education that impact their lives. Our first student blogger, Ben Succop, a senior at Freedom High School in Burke County, talks about the advantages of taking classes through the North Carolina Virtual Public School.
