Sampson County is pleased to introduce our new county attorney and three department directors who have joined our team this year. Each of them will play an important role in advancing county operations and services, and we are excited about the contributions they will make.

Report a Road Sign Issue to County Public Works

If you’ve noticed a problem with a road sign in our community, we want to hear from you! Ensuring safe and clear roadways is a top priority, and your help is invaluable. For your convenience, you can also submit a work order by filling out the form online. The form is mobile friendly. Your prompt action helps us keep our roads safe and well-maintained. 

Become a member of the Voluntary Agricultural Districts

The Farmland Preservation Program of North Carolina launched approximately 25 years ago, with Sampson County being one of the first counties in the program. 82 land owners and 15,000 acres have been enrolled in the Sampson County Voluntary Agricultural Districts (VAD) program since 2001. With 50% of Sampson County’s 604,599 acres in farmland or forestry, our hopes are to significantly expand enrolled acreage in the near future.
