The Ivanhoe Water System is a project to design and construct a new public water system for the Ivanhoe population and surrounding areas of Sampson County. The project will create a water distribution system to connect the residents within the disadvantaged, underserved community of Ivanhoe (who have expressed the desire to connect to a public water system) to Sampson County’s water supply.

High temperatures in the upper 90's is still around, please take these steps to stay safe:
- Watch for signs of heat exhaustion such as dizziness, thirst, heavy sweating, nausea, and weakness
- Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids, especially water.
- Avoid strenuous activities.
- Wear light clothing and apply sunscreen.
- Check on vulnerable neighbors, including the elderly and pets.
- NEVER leave people or pets in a closed, parked car.
