City of Raleigh Solid Waste Services Collection Delayed

Due to weather conditions, the City of Raleigh’s solid waste operations were delayed Tuesday morning. Some areas on the Tuesday route were not serviced for recycling as scheduled.

The missed Tuesday recycling routes received first priority Wednesday morning before crews move on to the Wednesday route. There is no need for Tuesday customers to report missed recycling collection. Customers are asked to leave carts at the curb until they have been serviced.

The Solid Waste Services Department suspended yard waste operations midday on Tuesday. Any missed yard waste collection for Tuesday, March 4 will be serviced next Tuesday, March 11. Residents on the Tuesday route should leave any yard waste currently at the curb for service next week; the department will suspend code enforcement of yard waste on the Tuesday route due to this delay of service.

Any additional announcements about Solid Waste Services operations are available by  by email signing on MyRaleigh Subscriptions on the City website. Timely updates also are  shared on Twitter; follow us at @RaleighGoGreen. Call 919-996-6890 for more information about Solid Waste Services.
