If you look closely at this picture you will see a red mark on the white column along the cistern. Each inch increment equates to 39 gallons of stored water.

Walnut Creek Wetland Center goes Green(er)!

This project was to design and install a 2,200 gallon cistern at the Walnut Creek Wetland Center. The water stored will be pumped to yard hydrants to irrigate native landscaping on the property and to fill Parks' staff water trucks.  This cistern is a great educational tool for the public, teaching the link between native plants, bio-diversity and sustainable water use.

It is estimated that this cistern will save 5,692 gallons of water per year!

Kentwood Park gets more Comfortable!

This project was to construct a 420 square foot comfort station (restroom) at Kentwood Park. The existing structure was well beyond its functional years. Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources has a replacement plan for comfort stations based on the condition and safety of the existing structure.

This comfort station has female and male bathrooms, natural lighting and a water fountain.  It takes approximately 2 months to build this type of structure.
