City to Hold Information Session on Downtown Remote Operations Facility for Minority- and Women-Owned Subcontractors

The City of Raleigh is inviting subcontractors, vendors and suppliers associated with small disadvantaged minority- and women-owned businesses to attend an information session on the construction of the City’s Downtown Remote Operations Facility.

The information session will be held on March 21 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the City’s Wilders Grove Solid Waste Services Operations Center, 630 Beacon Lake Drive. The purpose of the free event is to provide interested subcontractors, vendors and suppliers with pertinent information about the project, including prequalification procedures, bid package opportunities, and schedules. Participants also will have an opportunity to talk to members of the project management team.

Project general contractor Brasfield & Gorrie along with representatives from Metcon Inc. will facilitate the information session. Refreshments will be served at the event.

RSVP to attend the information session by contacting Stephanie Strong at 919-322-2220 or strong@metconnc.com. Additional information about the Downtown Remote Operations Facility project can be obtained by contacting Jenna Schanda at 919-790-9272 or JSchanda@BrasfieldGorrie.com.

The Downtown Remote Operations Facility will be located on a site east of Capital Boulevard and north of the Interstate 440 beltline. It will house components of the City’s Parks, Facilities and Operations, Street Maintenance and Vehicle Fleet Services divisions and the Traffic Engineering Program.
