Lake Boone Trail and Wycliff Road Intersection to Close Wednesday Night for Sewer Maintenance
The City of Raleigh is partially closing the intersection of Lake Boone Trail and Wycliff Road to locate a buried manhole and raise it to street level. Work will begin at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 5 and is expected to be completed by 5 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6.
Motorists should avoid this area if necessary. Following is the detour.
• The southbound left-hand lane of Wycliff Road will be closed. Motorists traveling southbound Wycliff Road will be diverted westbound onto Lake Boone Trail. Traffic can make a safe turnabout at Wesvill Court in order to continue eastbound onto Lake Boone Trail.
• The eastbound left hand lane of Lake Boone Trail will be closed. Traffic traveling eastbound Lake Boone Trail attempting to turn left onto Wycliff Road will need to continue eastbound on Lake Boone Trail, make a safe turnabout at Horton St., travel westbound Lake Boone Trail, and then turn right onto Wycliff Road.
Customers in this area should not experience any interruption of sewer service.
