Council Accepts Grant for Renovation

of the Moore Square Transit Station

 

The Raleigh City Council has accepted a Federal Transit Administration Grant of $1,344,000 for renovation of the Moore Square transit station, repayment of construction costs previously incurred by the City of Raleigh for the Capital Area Transit Operations Facility, and purchase and installation of passenger amenities at various bus stop locations.

 

The City also received $168,000 in matching grant funds from the North Carolina Department of Transportation Public Transit Division and the City contributed $168,000 in matching funds.
