Kayaking
Saturday, August 29 | Lake Wheeler Park

For ages 16+.Adaptive kayaking makes paddling accessible for everyone. Build confidence, stay active, and experience the freedom of kayaking in an inclusive, fun environment.

 Sensory Play Date
We are partnering with Oberlin Regional Library for a fun and engaging sensory play experience ages 5-12! Participants will explore hands-on activities designed to stimulate the senses, encourage creativity, and support relaxation in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Goalball
Every Sunday | 1:00pm - 4:00pm
Barwell Community Center
Goalball is a unique Paralympic team sport for athletes who are blind or visually impaired, where players use sound to track a bell-filled ball and work together to score and defend goals—all while wearing eyeshades for an even playing field.
This program is free, with registration for an adapted sports pass required at any Raleigh Parks and Recreation facility.
Intro to Braille
1st & 3rd Saturday of each month | 1:00pm - 2:00pm
Join our Braille class designed for people with and without visual impairments. Open to ages 5 and up and free of charge, this class introduces the basics of Braille reading and writing, explores accessibility tools, and builds skills that support communication and independence. All are welcome
