 Walk Moore!
Wednesdays, March 4, 11, 18, 25 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Moore Square Walking is a great way to support mental and physical health. Join Park staff and other guests for a leisurely, low-impact stroll around the Square and take in the nature sights as well as learn a little about the history of the park and the surrounding features. Program is for all ages and fitness levels and is free and open to the public. *Staff will guide the first 30 minutes of the walk, after that, program is self-guided. Meeting point is the corner of Martin and Blount by the first threshold inscription. Wear comfortable clothing to move in and close-toed walking shoes or sneakers.

Create Moore! Fridays, March 6, 13, 20, 27 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Moore Square The Square becomes a creative space for exploration on Friday mornings with our Create Moore! Series. Park staff will guide guests through various themed and seasonal STEAM experiences using a rich variety of materials. |
First Friday Friday, March 6 6 - 9 p.m. City of Raleigh Museum Join us at the City of Raleigh Museum for this month's First Friday event! This ongoing program takes place on the first Friday of every month and provides a lively and engaging way to connect with the local Raleigh community. First Fridays may feature a unique theme, including performances, crafts, and educational opportunities. It's a fantastic way to explore the museum in an upbeat and enjoyable atmosphere! Through the Thresholds: History of Moore Square Walking Tour Fridays, March 6, 13, 20, 27 2 p.m. Saturdays, March 7, 14, 21, 28 11 a.m. Moore Square With more than 230 years as one of Raleigh's original five public greenspaces, Moore Square has a lot to share! Join us for a free and fascinating tour of our four-acre urban oasis. The 30-minute walking tour will start at the Moore Square Visitor Center and explore both Moore Square Park and its visitor center.

Trolley Reopening Saturday, March 7 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Historic Raleigh Trolley The Historic Raleigh Trolley is back! Join us Saturdays from March through December for a narrated, hour-long tour of downtown Raleigh. Tours depart from Mordecai Historic Park at 11 a.m., 12 p.m., 1 p.m., and 2 p.m. Tickets are available up to one month in advance online at reclink.raleighnc.gov under the “Tours” section, or in person at the Mordecai Historic Park Visitor Center. Veterans and Coffee Tuesday, March 10 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. John P. "Top" Greene African American Cultural Center We're proud to host Veterans and Coffee, a monthly community event dedicated to supporting and educating our local veterans. Each month, we’ll host a one-hour workshop focused on important topics that matter to those who have served. Led by Elree T. Smith, Past Department Commander, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Department of North Carolina. Our goal is to raise awareness and spread valuable knowledge to veterans and their families in our area. March Madness Cornhole Classic Sunday, March 15 2 – 6 p.m. Latta University Historic Park Celebrate Selection Sunday with a fun, low-key cornhole tournament at Latta Park! This casual doubles event is designed for players of all skill levels, focusing on friendly competition, music, food, and community connection. Teams will play multiple guaranteed games before advancing to a short playoff round, keeping the event engaging and social from start to finish. Nash Square History Stroll Friday, March 20 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. Nash Square Nash Square is one of Raleigh's original "Beautiful Breathing Spaces." Take a guided stroll through the park to learn more about its beginnings and historical significance. Visit the Fallen Firefighters Memorial and walk among some of the oldest trees in the city. *Walk is about 30 minutes. Please wear comfortable walking shoes, terrain is uneven, dress for the weather. Craft Corner: Valentine’s Day Edition Friday, February 13 Saturday, February 14 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Moore Square Celebrate Valentine's Day with us and design Valentine's Cards to share and create your own tea sachet to gift someone or yourself! We will be using Decaf Herbal Blends to craft our signature teas. Appropriate for all ages, younger children may need assistance.

Away with the Fairies Saturday, March 21 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Mordecai Historic Park Enter a market full of fairies, dragons, mischief, and more at this themed event especially for families. Set in Mordecai Historic Park's beautiful nature space, Paper & Stars Studio has gathered local makers, food vendors, and independent businesses to bring together the best of what Raleigh has to offer families. Enjoy free crafts and activities, find the perfect handmade treasures, and learn about local children's programs - all while enjoying great food and fun. Black Neighborhoods of Raleigh Walking Tour Saturdays, March 21 and 28 10 a.m. and 2p.m. Sundays, March 22 and 29 2 p.m. Dr. M.T. Pope House Museum Put some spring in your step as you explore Raleigh's historic and influential Black neighborhood, the Third Ward, just around Shaw University—a wonderful place full of culture, business, and learning.
