Malcolm McIntyre (18) has been charged with:
- Weapon on Educational Property
- Carrying A Concealed Weapon
- Disorderly Conduct on an Educational Property
- Resisting Public Officer

The following release was distributed on February 25, 2026, at 12:35 p.m.
On February 25, 2026, at 11:18 a.m., the Raleigh Police Department was notified that a student was on campus with a firearm. As a result, the school was immediately placed on a code-red lockdown. The school resource officer requested additional officers to respond.
The RPD SRO responded to the reported area and took the student into custody.
One firearm was located on the student.
The Raleigh Police Department takes student safety and the threat of weapons on school campuses very seriously. We will continue to work with the Wake County Public School System to investigate the incident and ensure students' continued safety.
The school is currently on lockdown. Follow the WCPSS website for lockdown updates.
The administrative and criminal investigation is ongoing.
